Raksha Bandhan, often called Rakhi, is a traditional Hindu festival that celebrates the sacred relationship between brothers and sisters. The name itself comes from two Sanskrit words: “Raksha” meaning protection, and “Bandhan” meaning bond or tie. Together, they signify the promise of protection and care between siblings.
